Still Snowing!

And I am tired of it! I snow blowed the driveway today all by myself! Sounds stupid, but considering the fact that I didn't even know how to start the dumb thing, it's quite a feat for me! I was so proud I called Scott and told him...he laughed at me! Someone, please be proud of me! My dad would be!

It's Official....

It is wintertime! And I HATE it! It took me 3 hours....that's right, I said 3 hours...to get to work today! Good hell!! It is times like these that I wish it wasn't 47 miles from my house to work!

Tomorrow I am going to make some Christmas cupcakes. Just for something to do on my day off! After my 39 hours I spent on the road today, I don't even want to get out of my pajamas tomorrow! So I think I will bake some cupcakes, decorate them really cute and take them to work with me on Thursday to share with my work friends (because we don't get enough junk there to eat!) This may be what my cupcakes look like...we'll see how ambitious I am feeling in the morning!

P.S. Scott is on call for work this week. I also HATE when he is on call! The end!

Christmas Breakfast

Today the Winner School had a Christmas Breakfast for the entire staff and their spousal units. Fun times! I like that place. It doesn't feel like home quite yet, but I enjoy the people there. Plus they served mimosas (orange juice and champagne)! Tasty! They gave everyone a Winner School sweatshirt for Christmas. It was fun! Now I am in heartburn/headache city! That's what I hate about breakfast! Sausage gives me heartburn, but it tastes so yummy! What do ya do?
Also, I have decided to start my own Christmas tradition for my little family this year! We are having Christmas breakfast at our house with Scott's family on Christmas morning. Then we will go to Salt Lake and do Christmas with my family in the afternoon. I love this time of year!
My sis is in town this weekend for her work's Christmas party. I like when she is in town! I never realize how much I miss her until she is here! That's so dorky! Marlin and Cheryl will be in town on Tuesday for my gram's Christmas party that she is having that I don't think I was invited to! I am excited to see them....although I wish they were bringing their new grandbabies with them! They are SO cute! And I haven't even met them yet!
This is baby Malaya. Shawn and Naomi's little one. I love her lips!

This is baby Noah. Jason and Mindy's handsome little man! He is such a Green baby!

And since I am on the subject of babies I love.....

I love this one the most! How could you not love a face like that!!

Remember When....

My mom used to do all the Christmas shopping and wrapped all the presents??? I miss those days! I am finished with my shopping...I think....for now, at least! What a load off! I am so glad I have a husband that doesn't want to stretch the shopping out to Christmas Eve, otherwise, I would be out starting my shopping on Christmas Eve! This may be the most prepared I have ever been! Scott had the day off with me today. Well, he didn't technically have the day off. More like there were no jobs for him to do at work, so his boss told him to take a "training day" and do some certifications at home. I slept in until about 9:30 today and when I woke up, he was still home! So he took me out to breakfast! Oh how I love that man of mine!!

Remind Me....

Never to eat cheese and crackers at 1 am EVER AGAIN! I was sitting in bed last night eating some Ritz crackers and watching some Will & Grace (season 6 these days) and Scott came in to hang out with me. Got to eating more crackers and though "you know what sounds so good right now?? Cheese on these crackers!" So what do we do? We go to Walmart at midnight in search of cheese and crackers! Such nerds, we are! Well, you know that line in Juno "if it makes a difference, I have heartburn radiating from my kneecaps!"? I am living that line today! I can't imagine what the heartburn is going to be like when I am pregnant if it is this bad now! Sad!

A Little About Us

Scott and I started dating in June 2004. He is 10 years older than me and has a 14 year old son (well, 10 at the time), so of course I was a little leary of the situation! Scott is an amazing guy though. We clicked right off the bat. Neither one of us is entirely sure why...considering the fact that on our first actual date, he spilled an entire Pepsi all over me and thought it would be fun to take me "4-wheeling" in his truck in the middle of Centerville! Yeah....real fun!

Anywho, we dated for about a year and a half before we got engaged. We got engaged on November 23, 2005. "How did he propose?", you ask? Well, we love going to the movies. That is pretty much all we ever did on our dates. So the new Harry Potter movie came out and Scott REALLY wanted to go see it. If you know me, you know I HATE the Harry Potter movies! Well, he kept bugging me and bugging me to see the stinkin' Harry Potter movie with him. So I agreed. Apparently, he had been plotting for a couple months prior to this. He had a slide made with our picture and basically "will you marry me?" on it and had them put the slide up during the previews before the movie. So cute! Stupid me...the slide pops up on the screen and I say "oh that's weird, someone put our picture in the previews!" Hello! Scott says "READ IT". Oh, oops! So I read it and turned to look at him to ask if that was for real and he was down on one knee, ring in hand! Good times! Harry Potter had just barely come out and the theatre was PACKED! In fact, it was so packed, we had to sit on the front row! It was crazy! So people were taking pictures of us with their cell phones and stuff....very surreal!

On June 16, 2007, Scott and I got married! The day I never thought would happen! It was such a perfect day! We got married at Millennial Falls in Draper. Everything about that place is incredible. We were so blessed to have both of our families there. We had people come from many miles away to share our special day with us, and that made it perfect!

So that's the story of us! Now maybe someday we might have a little kid of our own! Someday!

Here We Go!

Time for me to get up with the times! So here I am, doing what I make fun of people most for...blogging! Fun times!
